Knitting Fundamentals

Knitting Fundamentals

If you are a beginner, you will learn to knit, purl, cast on, and bind off, plus a myriad of other things as they come up, such as yarn characteristics, importance of gauge swatches, etc.
The more advanced students will learn several methods of increasing and decreasing, will become comfortable with knitting and purling in the same row and knowing when to do which, and will learn how to “read” the fabric so increases and decreases don’t disturb the stitch pattern. Through a project that uses the skills you have mastered, you will learn some methods for repairing mistakes and begin to read patterns, even making simple adjustments.

Each session, we offer different courses, depending on the needs and desires of our students.

If the class you want is not listed as “current” in the drop-down menu under “Classes” above, go to the “Contact” tab and let us know that you would like to be notified when it is being offered.

I am interested in “knitting fundementals” or “crocheting fundementals”, or both. Please let me know when you are offering either of these courses and provide particulars regarding dates, sessions, course fees, etc. Thank you

    Sincerely

    Hi, Kathleen,

I’m sorryt I didn’t get back to you sooner. Somehow your message escaped me until now. All is not lost, though, because we have both knitting fundamentals and crochet fundamentals classes coming up soon. In fact, the knitting class begins next Tuesday (October 29). The crochet class doesn’t begin until Sunday (November 3). I hope you can join us. You can find the full schedule and descriptions here: .

If you have any questions, or want to register for any of the classes, please contact me directly at: knitwithjudy@aol.com and I’ll respond right away.
